Today I spent a lovely afternoon photographing the latest work from Kathleen Holland's stunning jewellery collection. Yes I am biased as she is my sister but I am delighted to say I own some of these beautiful handmade pieces of wearable art. Kathleen's work is based on elements of nature that she casts and assembles incorporating the boldness of sculptural design with the elegance of metal work to create entirely unique jewellery. Details of these and her other work can be seen at www.kathleenhollanddesigns.com
From the moment I met Sinead her enthusiasm and excitement for life were evident and her wedding day was a reflection of this. Dressed in beautiful 1950’s style dress she owned the red carpet that led her into the magnificent Cobh Cathedral to marry her love Paul. From there we headed to Charles Fort located on the water's edge, at the southern end of the village of Summer Cove, on Kinsale harbor. There was no having to set up shots with this crew as they were just having so much fun it was contagious and the photography flowed.
This was followed by a reception where the movie star theme continued with each table adorned with a life quote from the Hollywood greats. There are always a few weddings throughout the year that you wished you could have stayed on at, just knowing that it would have been an absolute ball. Lovely to meet you both, and your friends and families truly were stars!
